Art is my effort to share feelings and responses that are difficult if not impossible to put into words. Rather than copying nature, I use it to call on inner reactions to what I observe. Subject matter is a point of departure rather than a destination. Familiar things I see become springboards to new expressions. Unexpected insights often emerge, and I continually find new meaning and growth through them.
